Just to let you know, per Anet:

Guild Wars 2’s next closed beta test is scheduled for late-March and will provide players with an opportunity to experience its deep RPG game elements, epic World v. World battles and inviting social gameplay while helping the team load test the servers.

I think you misunderstood what I wrote, or I wasn't clear enough, probably the latter.

I was just trying to explain that the newsletter wasn't a special invitation to your husband, just a notification of another special gaming event, and he probably didn't mention other newsletters that he received because you would have already known about them.

Second, did any of you catch a response on your own mail regarding possible invitation to the beta?

1: No, it's a closed beta.
2: Nobody is allowed to say it, because it's still under the NDA

I just found out about signing up, three weeks after the fact. What's the best way to find out about signing up for beta?

I have decided to close this thread due to ANet being very insistent about no one talking about that beta. A message at Guild Wars 2 Guru was posted reminding everyone not to. I think it is better this be closed for members to avoid any temptations to talk about it here.

edit: beta is this weekend...so if you didnt get in, dont be waiting for it. cosyfiep
